Our Purpose  

SURYA (सूर्य) is a Hindi word meaning the Sun and the Solar Deity in Hinduism. I, Hiroshi Omata, Co-founder, have experience managing a company in India. During my time there, I was deeply influenced by the country, its people, and its rich culture. Upon returning to Japan, I named my boat SURYA as a tribute to the profound impact India had on me. Today, we extend the name SURYA to our company, symbolizing our commitment to embark on a new journey. With this name, we aspire to be a source of vitality for our clients’ businesses and a shining light for their prosperity. Our logo, inherited from the boat, represents the Sun, with its radiant flare reimagined as the Five Oceans, signifying our global presence.

The English expression “We are in the same boat” means sharing the same position and destiny. Our purpose is to help clients navigate through daunting challenges as experts who share a common destiny with them.

Rieko Omata, Co-founder and Representative Director, has an extensive background in foreign exchange trading at a global bank in Tokyo. Her career was shaped in the 24-hour global financial markets spanning Tokyo, London, and New York.

Leveraging our shared experience and expertise in global business, we founded the company in 2022 to become the ideal partner in addressing the daunting challenges faced by organizations—particularly in navigating digital transformation (DX) on a global scale. We believe an organization is a living entity with interconnected organs, and at times, fundamental transformation is essential to ensure its continued viability.

In 2024, marking the second anniversary of our founding, our company reached a significant turning point. Hiroshi Omata stepped down as CEO, and the company embarked on a new journey under the leadership of Rieko Omata. After a brief break, Hiroshi Omata rejoined the journey as Founder Chairman in February 2025.
